Weather, Winter, Woodland Park

Seriously?! This Needs to Stop

Our lovely freak cold caused me to miss out on another outdoor hockey game in Woodland Park, CO (something about what happens to skin at these temps…). Our temp at 6:30 (first games of the night) was -7. Brutal but livable. By 8 (time for my game) it hit -20 and a “feels like” of -41. On the plus side, it now only feels like -37. One brutal cold streak (coldest since I was born) was enough, but two? Wonder what it will feel like at 6am (coldest part of the day)??

However, if the forecast remains true, we will be near or above 50 for a the foreseeable future after Saturday! (bonus reader points for the reader who can tell my why it needs to be extra warm on Saturday the 19th!!!)
